Lianne's Try Dive
Thursday the 18th March saw the lovely Lianne come for a Try Dive. Lianne is the sister of club secretary Beth Somerville. Sick of listening to Beth go on about diving, she decided to find out what all the fuss is about.
Lianne arrived at the pool full of nerves, but her excitement was clear as she chatted with other members. After meeting instructor Alan Cowan and heading into the water, she went through the usual try dive exercises, learning basic hand signals and how to breathe under water. Alan was patient and encouraging, ensuring Lianne felt comfortable every step of the way.
At the end, Lianne said, "I had the best time on my first dive lesson. Made me feel really good. I felt proud of myself because I was scared x"
Rumour has it Lianne will be back in October when we return to the pool for membership and training.
